Josie
My name is Josie, I am twelve years old, and I live in Idaho with my mom, dad and little sister Bryn. I started this blog so that I could connect with other riders and write down all of my horsey experiences to look back on and share with my friends and family. My favorite things to do are ride, hang out with my barn friends, and play with my ponies. Bryn and I have three ponies named Corwen, Biscotti and Gummy Bear, and two mini ponies named Pickles and Tinsel. I also leased a pony recently named Macaroni. I first got into horses because my mom is a trainer, so I started riding some of her school horses when I was three. I am very excited to share stories to you about my riding, home, barn and ponies.
Evans Royal Star
Corwen is my 17-year-old Welsh pony that we got from a family in Seattle when I was four. His birthday is July 2 and he is very good with little kids. He loves grapes and hates liver pools.
Rosehaven Gummy Bear
Bear is my eight-year-old Welsh pony. I got Bear as a five-year-old green pony when I was seven years old, and he has improved a lot since I got him. I am showing him in the Medium Green Pony Hunters in 2024 and am hoping to get more showing experience with him throughout the year. His birthday is May 11th, and he is a champion apple bobber.
Pickles and Tinsel
Pickles and Tinsel are our cute and friendly mini ponies. With some help I am training them to drive a cart so that we can be in the Wagon Day parade, the Trailing of the sheep and the 4th of July parade here.
Medowbrooks’s Biscotti
Biscuit is my 13-year-old, pony jumper. I just started showing her in the .85s and .90s. I am so excited to do more with her! I am also excited to go to pony finals with her next year! Her birthday is May 12th, and she loves carrots.
Bryn is my sweet little sister. She is seven years old. She loves riding Corwen, playing with her friends and tennis. She loves cantering on Corwen and loves riding bare-back. Bryn has competed in some walk-trot classes with Corwen and is exited to show more.
